Niki Lauda is the 1975, 1977 & 1984 Formula 1 World Champion.  Niki Lauda is the only driver in Formula One history to have been champion for both Ferrari and McLaren, two of the sport's most successful constructors.  Niki Lauda was seriously injured but survived a crash at the 1976 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring circuit where he inhaled hot toxic fumes and suffered severe burns.  Niki Lauda is one of the most successful drivers in the history of Formula 1 with his three Formula 1 World Champion titles in a very limited group with Jackie Stewart, Jack Brabham, Nelson Piquet and Ayrton Senna. Jody Scheckter is the 1979 Formula 1 World Champion with the Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team.  Jody Scheckter remains the only African driver to win the Formula One World Championship.  He also raced with legendary Formula One Teams such as McLaren, Tyrrell & Wolf.
